IPI’s Control Antibody Collection supports assay validation by helping to assess background signals, identify non-specific binding and improve confidence in results. Used as regular controls in the IPI lab, these proteins are designed to match the host species and isotype of our primary antibodies. They’re optimized for compatibility across a range of common applications, including flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry and ELISA.
IPI-MOPC21 is compatible with all IPI rabbit IgG isotype antibodies and regularly used as a negative control in all IPI applications. IPI’s anti-V5 rabbit IgG antibody recognizes the V5 epitope on tagged proteins, and commonly serves as an expression and detection control across the IPI lab.
All IPI antibodies go through extensive characterization, including:
- Molar mass verification via mass spectrometry
- Purity and structural integrity analysis via size exclusion chromatography
- Affinity and kinetics measurements via surface plasmon resonance
- Non-specific binding assessment via polyspecificity reagent assay testing
