Glypican antibody collection

About the collection

Glypicans are a family of highly conserved proteoglycans crucial for regulating cell signaling during development. Researchers rely on glypican antibodies to study the expression, interactions and mechanisms of glypicans with therapeutic implications in cancer, developmental syndromes and neurological diseases.

IPI’s glypican antibody collection includes highly specific recombinant antibodies, developed using yeast display technology. They target GPC1, GPC3 and GPC4. These antibodies enable researchers to accurately detect glypican presence and explore glypican function, providing a reliable and accessible toolset for scientists worldwide.

All IPI antibodies go through extensive characterization, including:

  • Molar mass verification via mass spectrometry
  • Purity and structural integrity analysis via size exclusion chromatography
  • Affinity and kinetics measurements via surface plasmon resonance
  • Non-specific binding assessment via polyspecificity reagent assay testing
  • Cross-reactivity analysis of all target family members via flow cytometry
  • Validation in at least one standardized application
  • Community-led antibody evaluation, with data available in the Addgene Data Hub

IPI’s anti-glypican antibodies are unconjugated and recommended for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. At IPI, we believe that finding the right reagent shouldn’t be so difficult. IPI offers its antibody purchasers access to data, including antibody sequences, affinity results and kinetic behavior.
